Aksel Fjord is dedicated to exploring the narrative capacity of color itself. Inspired by Color Field painting, their large-scale paintings are usually composed of a few flat, pure blocks of color. Aksel Fjord hopes to provide a contemplative space for the viewer, allowing color to directly trigger their emotional and psychological responses.
